I no longer want to wear pants.

From the time we were old enough to comprehend language, we were told to have a goal.  It took me almost fifty years, but I finally found it.  To be more specific, I no longer want to put on pants to go to work.

You are most likely wondering how being pants-free relates to writing.  A writer can write from anywhere, wearing anything, or wearing nothing at all.  In fact, I am writing this from my couch, in a t-shirt and underwear.  My apologies for that visual, but it was necessary to advance the plot.

Becoming a writer is easy, like running, just start doing it.  If you run, you are a runner.  You don’t have to be fast, you just have to run.  If you want to write, start writing.  Getting paid to write something is difficult.  Getting paid to write full-time, for a living wage, is shooting for the stars.

If you want to write for other people, not just for your own enjoyment, you need an audience.  That brings us to why you are here.  I hope to use this site and my Facebook page to build an audience.

Blogging seems to be a great way to start. I hope to entertain, inform, be insightful, and share some personal stories. I enjoy telling stories. My posts will most often be a humorous short story with the other aspects mixed in. If you stick around, I plan to write a few essays, articles, longer short stories, and even a full-length fiction novel.  You can read all of my works on my portfolio page.

If you prefer Facebook, find me at “Pants-free For Life”.  If you prefer emails, use the newsletter form at the bottom.

Thank you for stopping by.  Don’t be a stranger.
